Emigrate is an industrial rock and metal band created by the musician Richard Kruspe, who is also a member of the well-known band Rammstein.
This project began as an idea in 2001, but became a reality in early 2005, when Kruspe decided to pause Rammstein's recording for approximately a year in order to focus on his latest project.
The band consists of six members.
Kruspe plays the guitar and vocals, Olsen Involtini performs rhythm guitar, Mikko Sirรฉnserves drums (sometimes in place of Joe Letz) and Arnaud Giroux and Margaux Bossieuplay bass.
Their debut album, 'Emigrate,' was released in 2007 and quickly gained notoriety due to a particular track... 'New York City' swiftly surpassed one million views on YouTube and peaked at number fourteen on the UK Indie Chart.
'Temptation' was released the following year, adding another tune to their first album.
With over 3 million views on YouTube, this piece quickly became Emigrate's most popular and streamed music video of all time.
โA Million Degreesโ followed in 2018, becoming a remarkable collection of songs and features, such as Ben Kowalewicz, lead vocalist of the rock band Billy Talent, on the song '1234':
Their most recent album, 'The Persistence of Memory,' was recorded in 2021.
According to Richard, this album is merely a compilation of all the ideas and experiences he's had over the last two decades, and he felt it would be a fantastic idea to share them all in one place.
Till Lindemann, Rammstein's lead vocalist, also features on this album, singing the song 'Always on My Mind,' which was initially sung by Gwen McCrae and was later popularised by Elvis Presley.
If you appreciate rock music and bands who aren't afraid to experiment with their tunes and lyrics, then Emigrate may be the band for you.
They are available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music, making their songs easily accessible to listeners.
